Medical efficacy of children’s calcium-phosphate toothpastes and toothpastes with low fluoride concentration: results of two-year program of controlled teeth cleaning
Abstract
Two-year program of controlled tooth cleaning in group of younger schoolchildren showed high efficacy of active use of toothpaste with calcium-phosphate complex and toothpaste with low fluoride concentration. Oral hygiene index (OHI) increased in 57–73%, caries increment of permanent teeth decreased in 29–32%. Remineralizing toothpastes without fluoride, pastes with aminofluoride (F- = 500 ppm) and sodium fluoride (F- = 1000 ppm) have similar effect in improvement of health of oral cavity in schoolchildren.Key words: schoolchildren, prophylaxis of oral cavity diseases, toothpastes.
