The paper presents the reflection carried out around the use of oral history in three public school of Bogotá, and how through its implementation in projects of research historicy in the school –PIHE-, built new relations hips with knowledge, with the enviroment and commnunities. The PIHE are conceive as aproposal from which the students and teachers develop a joint process of research in the classroom from work with oral sources, with a historiographic product with own characteristics of the school context, which without being the ultímate goal, allows to show results of an investigative process. This production is validated by the communities in which develops. Oral history is interdisiciplinary by its nature, purpose, relations hips with the environment, subjects, etc. Its articulation with the social disiciplines allow work with the commonplace, so that from this methodological proposal is linked with the extra-curricular school knowledge. Its contribution to the teachings of Social Sciences convened to build new scenarios, more conducive to innovation, experimentation, creativity, in conclusion, to break paradigms in the conceptions, and practices that do not respond to the questions and problems of today.
