THE ESSENCE AND STRUCTURE OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE:APPROACHES AND DEFINITIONS

Abstract

The article presents the analysis of approaches to definition of essence and structure of professional competence. Shows the definition of professional competence through the ability to effectively implement the specific professional activities of their cognitive potential, contributing to the performance of professional duties. Analysis of competencies revealed two enlarged areas of professional competence - especially-professional and over-professional. The structural components of professional competence are cognitive, motivational-value, behavioral and reflective.
