Identifikasi Naskah dan Telaah Aspek Tekstologis Manuskrip Mushaf Al-Qur’an Syekh Musthofa Lasem
Abstract
The spread of Islam in the Nusantara region cannot be separated from the Qur'an manuscripts, which are part of Indonesia's rich written heritage. Lasem is one of the cities known as a "kota pusaka" due to its abundant historical and cultural wealth, including religious manuscripts now housed in the Museum Islam Nusantara. This paper discusses the Qur'an manuscript in the Museum Islam Nusantara, Lasem, Rembang Regency, Central Java. The article aims to investigate the physical characteristics of Shaykh Musthofa's Qur'an manuscript and its textological aspects, including the form of rasm, the classification of makki madani surahs, the naming of surahs, the number of verses in each surah, and the presence of waqf marks. The method used is a descriptive-analytical approach to a single manuscript with a critical edition in the study of ancient manuscripts. The results of this study show that the creativity in writing the Qur'an in the Nusantara region has developed since the 19th century. This is evidenced by the presence of varied and complete waqf and tajweed marks in Shaykh Musthofa's Qur'an manuscript. This manuscript has inconsistencies in the writing of waqf marks across different surahs. The rasm follows the rules of rasm Uthmani but excludes aspects of ḥadzf al-ḥurūf and ma fih qira’atan wa kutib ‘ala ihdahuma. The number of verses in each surah differs from the Indonesian Standard Qur'an (MSQ) in 34 surahs. The manuscript also differs in the classification of Makki and Madani surahs from the Indonesian Standard Qur'an in 12 surahs. Furthermore, in the aspect of surah naming, there are differences with the Indonesian Standard Qur'an in 6 surahs.
