The aim of the study was a comparative assessment of the demand and preferences of representativesof two age groups in Lublin, ie 20-24 and over 60 years, concerning cut flowers of bulbous plants. Theresults of surveys conducted among 300 representatives of both age groups. Specified species preferences,one-off purchases and per year, spending level, purchase reasons were analyzed. The analyzes were carriedout using mathematical and statistical methods, mainly using percentage indicators and average values.The older generation generally spend on cut flowers of bulbous plants more than representatives of theY generation, through higher one-off and per year purchases. Buyers from both age groups purchaseflowers mainly for gift purposes, although more often also for themselves, under the influence of impulse.It is favored by their general availability, including in grocery stores.
