Climate Changes and its Impact on Change of Crop Structure in Anbar from the period (1980-2014
Abstract
The research aims to examine the impact of climate changes on the growth and productivity of wheat crop in Anbar province. The analytical approach is adopted to show the impact of the climate elements and phenomena which are represented by solar radiation the minimum and maximum temperature, wind, atmospheric humidity, rains and evaporation on wheat production and its maturity date, the geographical distribution of the wheat plantation areas, the production quantities and its role in the agricultural economy, as well as the compatibility of the climatic characteristics in the study area with requirements of agriculture and quantity and quality of produced wheat which is considered the people's main food and of great economic importance. The research relies on the data of three climatic stations in the study area. These stations are Ramadi, Haditha and Al Qaim over a period from (1980 -2014) as a well as agricultural data matching to total duration of the study.
