The aim of this paper is to provide the reader with the transcripts and analyses of 14 unpublished royal documents relating to the transitional period between the reigns of Alfonso XI and Pedro I of Castile (1349-1352), which are compiled in a book of scribes from the Council of Ágreda, in particular, the codex 11.016, preserved in the National Library of Portugal. Although this work may be considered regional and monographic, the analyses of the royal documents offers a contemporary vision on the polytical and commercial relationships between Castile and neighbouring reigns Navarra and Aragón. Their interpretation can help us understand the profound reforming works that influenced the legal system of the Crown of Castile and especially, the increasing interference of the monarchic institution in the Extremaduran councils.
