В статье рассмотрены матиралы медико-исторических трудов инонациональных врачей за господство Российской и Австро-Венгерской, Румынской империй, украинских врачей и историков медицины в период «украинского возрождения», врачей диаспоры и независимой Украины. Буковинский край, который в период 1800-1900 годов находился под Австро-Венгрией и Румынией, имел достаточно устойчивое развитие медицинской отрасли и соответствующей инфраструктуры. Здания лечебных учреждений, спроектированные и построенные в те годы, и по настоящее время работают как лечебные учреждения города Черновцы и Черновицкой области.
