Abstract

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C8H10N2O2, contains two independent molecules, which are linked by weak N—H...O hydrogen-bonding interactions between the amino and nitro groups. The independent molecules are both approximately planar with r.s.d. deviations of 0.0216 and 0.0161 Å.
