Bis(4-cobaltoceniumyl-1-ferrocenyl-3-methyl-1,2,3-triazolylidene)gold(I) hexafluoridophosphate–trifluoromethanesulfonate (1.2/1.8)

Abstract

The title compound, [AuCo2Fe2(C5H5)4(C13H11N3)2](PF6)1.2(CF3SO3)1.8, was synthesized by deprotonation of 4-cobaltoceniumyl-1-ferrocenyl-3-methyl-1,2,3-triazolium hexafluoridophosphate trifluoromethanesulfonate with thallium ethoxide, followed by transmetalation with chlorido(triphenylphosphine)gold(I), crystallizing as orange prisms. It is a unique example of a homoleptic dimetallocenyl-substituted triazolylidene complex.
