Faced with the advancement of the Methods, Techniques and Technologies we propose ourselves a reflection between the old and the new, commenting on what used to be carried out and what has been carried out, in terms of research. The path as a researcher permits us to distinguish the recommended methodologies, basing ourselves on the written, printed, or manuscript sources, and those currently indicated, experimenting new approaches and new sources which were, at first, introduced by the ethnography with the case studies, appealing to methodologies and techniques that disclose the panorama of the social, political, economic, and religious life in order to understand the dynamics that certain historical periods involve through memory, meaning, symbology, and others. Methodologies and techniques that insert discussions, enabled by the oral history which translates itself in the interviews and life histories, by the iconographic analysis through photographs, as well as others resources, such as literature review and self-history, making the research richer, in the treatment dispensed to the object of study.
