Análise sobre as internações por condições sensíveis à atenção básica no município de Valença/RJ
Abstract
The Unifi ed Health System (SUS) has several information systems, among them the Hospital Information System Decentralized (SIHD), considered an important source of data. It is a system very rich in information, including those relating to Hospitalizations due Sensitive Conditions to the Primary Care. Th e primary care, considered the entrance of the individual to the health system, should be conclusive aiming the reduce o risk of hospitalization due to these causes. Th erefore, this study aims to investigate the prevalence of these causes of hospitalizations in the city, identifying the fi ve groups that had the highest number of admissions during the fi rst half of the years 2011 and 2012. Th e methodology used is descriptive exploratory, using data available in the Hospital Information System Decentralized (SIHD). Th is research shows a reduction in the number of hospitalizations for causes considered preventable by primary care, especially in the group represented by Hypertension. It also shows us that the frequency of hospitalization of the group represented by Diabetes Mellitus didn’t follow the decline that most groups presented comparing the two periods surveyed. With the reduction in the percentage of hospitalizations for sensitive conditions to the primary care in the fi rst half of 2012 this indicator in the city agrees with the parameter considered by the Performance Index of the Unifi ed Health System (IDSUS).
