in order to measure the conentration of lead in air of six Kerman gasoline stations,10 air samples were collected from each between 8:30-12:30 a.m. and then analyzed .lead conentration was determined by atomic absorption spectrometers.the maximum and minimum of lead conentration were 0.833mg/m3 and 0.41mg/m3 in Khorshid and shahab gasoline stations, respectively.all of the samples were compared with a control station in which the concentration of lead ranged from 0.084mg/m3 to 0.166mg/m3.the daily peak lead conentration was between 9:30-12:30a.m.the mean value in all six stations, was significantly higher than control.in addition, lead conentration in all gasoline stations were lower than lead,s TLV in workplace due to lack of inversion phonimenon in Kerman city.
