Proton Pump Inhibitors: How Safe is Long Usage of Pantoprazole?

Abstract

The article deals with the approaches to treatment of acid-related diseases, there was determined key role of proton pump inhibitors. The special attention was given to safety of long usage of proton pump inhibitors, there were analyzed the findings of investigations regarding their influence on the state of gastroduodenal zone. The findings of research showing the safety of long-term treatment with pantoprazole during 15 years were considered in detail.
