MODELING OF PARKINSONISM SYNDROME IN RATS BY THE ADMINISTRATION OF LIPOPOLYSACCHARIDE
Abstract
Neuroinflammation may be involved in the development of neurodegeneration in Parkinson's disease (PD). Objective. To study the possibility of obtaining a morphologically confirmed model of parkinsonism syndrome in rats after 30 days of intranasal (i/n) administration of Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) Escherichia coli. Material and methods. Experiments were carried out on male rats of the Wistar line. Animals of the main group (n=7) were injected i/n LPS at a concentration of 1 μg / ml, and the control group (n=7) was administered water for injection daily for 30 days. Thirty days after the start of the experiment, the brain was taken for morphological examination. Results. No differences in the motor activity of the rats in the main and control groups were detected. Expressed neurodegenerative and inflammatory changes of the black substance, which spread to the area of the striatum, were found. Conclusions. The neuroinflammatory model of the premotor stage of Parkinson's syndrome was obtained.
