A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE DIURETIC AND CHOLERETIC ACTIVITY OF POWDERS AND EXTRACTS FROM THE FRUIT OF WILD CARROT AND CARROT SEED

Abstract

In the course of experiments on healthy white rats and rats with paracetamol intoxication established unidirectional choleretic and diuretic effects of alcohol powders and extracts from fruits and seeds of wild carrot, greater than or comparable with the effect of powders and extracts of corn stigmas. Higher absolute values of urinary and biliary excretion were observed in experiments with alcoholic extracts of the fruit than in the experiments with powders. With a greater choleretic effect exerted powder and extract from the fruit of carrot seed, and a diuretic - from the fruit of the wild carrot.
