EXTREMISMUL POLITIC ÎN SOCIETĂȚILE MULTICULTURALE

Abstract

In the contemporary political systems, various mechanisms are created in order to act and have competences in the regulation of human rights. In other words, these mechanisms are institutions that ensure the prevention of any extremist manifestations and excesses in society. Episodes like the Armenian genocide or the Holocaust have been possible because of the non-existence or ineffectiveness of this type of political institutions. The role of these institutions is to prevent extremism and mitigate inter-community tensions through laws and negotiation techniques in case of conflicts, both globally and regionally.
