The wind energy between Mexico and Spain

This article content a comparative study is carried out between the wind sector in Spain and Mexico, analysing the value chain, employment and research, development and innovation (R+D+i). The method was analytical documentary analysis. As a result it is concluded that Spain has become a world leader with small and medium enterprises; meanwhile, Mexico has installed wind farms through technology import privileged infrastructure growth with little impact on the value chain. In Spain, profits are seen in 124 economic activities, generated more than twenty thousand jobs, in contrast to Mexico where there are only 300 permanent jobs and the impact is limited to the manufacture of some elements and civil works.
