Application of integrating VC cross-connecting function with OTN system

Abstract

Due to the advantage of rigidity pipeline,SDH is irreplaceable in carrying high priority service circuit.However,it will withdraw because of equipment ageing.A solution of OTN system with VC cross-connecting function was proposed for the situation which SDH network faced,which could minimize space requirements,conserve energy,save the resource of optical fiber and reduce the operational risk while keeping the advantage of OTN high bandwidth transmission.Pilot testing proves that the system works well and accords with correlative criterion.
