Políticas de drogas e o encarceramento de populações vulneráveis em Portugal e no Brasil

Abstract

This article seeks to understand aspects of the different forms of drug policy and its impact on vulnerable populations, focusing on incarceration in two different contexts, Portugal and Brazil. To this end, it carries out a comparison approach between both the criminal frameworks on drug legislation and official statistics on incarceration, in dialogue with the literature, seeking to find trends that make possible regional inequalities visible.
