The purpose of this article is to understand the perspectives of occupational hazard in the context of social representations of potato growers. Materials and methods: For this design qualitative case is used, and as a technique for gathering information, a semistructured interview two men who run the farm work, inhabitants in the municipality of Toca Boyaca, where I inquired about the concepts applied related to the care, health, act to disease, how to handle situations that affect health from their craft and how they live their processes of health and disease. Results: content analysis, which is obtained, farmers define risk and occupational risk related to items such as the insecticides used for cultivation, coupled with environmental factors such as temperature was used; also expressed the difficulties that brings the potato crop meet demand in the market and the costs of growing the product sales, significant labor processes as mental stress, which say this, the work suggests that other field to survive make your craft. Discussion: The relationship between health and occupational health aspects associated with the dress using chemicals and when used as a large proportion in this locker room that happens to be used for all daily activities.
