Agriculture is the main activity of most rural populations in Sénégal. In Upper Casamance, it accounts for 79,8 % of the rural population during wintering and 20,2 % of the urban population. Agricultural products are intended for the consumption of local populations. This activity is, however, subject to a variation in rainfull conditions that are very unfavorable to its development. This is manfested by frequent dry sequences, a shortering and early stopping of the rainy season and a delay in the installation of overwintering. These fluctuations have led to a decline in agricultal vields over the years to the point of creating food insecurity in the region. Mitigations strategies have been found by the actors of the rural of Upper Casamance to reduce the impacts of climate pejoration. Among these are the endogenous strategies developed by farmers, those planned and alternatives. This study relied on the collection of field data (GPS coordinates, interviews and questionnaires), on the spatialization of geographic information and the definition of climate risk matrices and the prioritization of adaptation options. This approach made it possible to identify the necessary provisions for the planning and implementation of adaptation and the prioritization of adaptation options in Upper Casamance.
