CARACTERÍSTICAS PRODUTIVAS DE CULTIVARES DE ALFACE MIMOSA, CONDUZIDA SOB DIFERENTES NÍVEIS DE SOMBREAMENTO, NO INVERNO
Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the performance of mimosa lettuce, grown in a greenhouse with different levels of shading, under weather conditions of winter, in the region of Paraná State, Brazil. The experiment was conducted at the Experimental Station of UNIOESTE, Campus Mal. Cândido Rondon in the period July to September 2010, in a randomized block design in a factorial 4x3, with four replications. The treatments consisted of four cultivars of lettuce (leaf green pixie Oak, Oak leaf red pixie, Salad Bowl and Roxane) and three shading levels 0, 30% and 50% shade). The lettuce cultivars were evaluated for plant height and diameter, head fresh weight, number of leaves per plant and also estimated the productivity. Growing lettuce mimosa under withouth shade in winter was most useful when compared with shading levels of 30% and 50%. Cultivar Roxane was more productive for this growing season. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of mimosa lettuce, grown in a greenhouse with different levels of shading, under weather conditions of winter, in the region of Paraná State, Brazil.
