PERSONAL CONSTRUCTS REPRESENTATION IN THE EPISTOLARY TEXTS (AS REVEALED IN DEFENSE LETTERS )

Abstract

Cognitive mechanisms reproduced in epistolary texts are surveyed in the article. The author of the article is trying to reveal the addressees' hidden expectations for the conflicts resolution ways. The author uses the intent-analysis of defense letters material to discover the speech tactics that can be used effectively in letters. Basing on the main findings, the author gives recommendations for those who have an intention to publish an open letter in press.
