Opportunities and Limits of Russia's Soft Power in Central Asia.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the description of opportunities of the Russian soft power in Central Asia. There is analyzed a Russian understanding of a soft power concept as well. Special attention is paid to the origin of soft power notion. The author makes an attempt to analyze and explain the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church, Russkiy Mir Foundation and the Rossotrudnichestvo Agency as a source of soft power in Central Asia.
