Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is a well-established and effective method for treating complex wounds. However, this modality of treatment may not be available in limited-resource countries due to the high cost. We describe a simple and cheap method of NPWT using gauze swabs, a nasogastric tube, adhesive occlusive drape and a central or portable suction machine.
