Des artistes, des enquêtes, des pratiques ingénieuses
Abstract
More and more artists refer to their work as “inquiries”. What do these inquiries in art consist of? What can social sciences learn from them? A researcher, Yaël Kreplak, discusses those issues with three artists: Thierry Boutonnier, who elaborates alternative relationships to non-humans and territories by developing long-term participative projects; Gwenola Wagon, whose work examines how our world is transformed by digital innovations and technologies; and Alexis Guillier, who recomposes the story of uncertain objects in films, performances, and installations. The plurality of such inquiries in art proves how artful practices address worlds-to-come, which they give form to, they put into words, and they call into question.
