Noise and Health: Nursing Interventions in the Intensive Care Unit

Abstract

Introduction: The noise is an estresor that has provoked important consequences in the patients of the Unit of Intensive Cares. Objectives: To describe the necessary infirmary interventions to reduce the environmental noise in the Unit of Intensive Cares. Method: He was carried out a bibliographical revision. The used databases were: Take Care of Bonus, PubMed, Medline, Scielo, IBECS and Cochrane Library Bonus. Inclusion approaches and agreement exclusion settled down with the objective of the work. Results: The analyzed articles hurtled in their great majority qualitative studies, based on the systematic revision of the noise like factor estresante, their effects and measures proofreaders. Conclusions: The interventions of Infirmary are described that should be taken to end to reduce the environmental noise. The evidence indicates a significant reduction of the environmental noise after the implementation of these interventions.
