Post-communist Romanian political system. Since the separation of powers to share power
Abstract
This article analyzes the post-communist Romanian political system from a dual perspective, the formal, institutional one and the functional, political perspective. The main novelty posited by the article is the concept of „shared power”. As an expression of political and institutional mechanisms such as algorithm or Romanian-style cohabitation, underlying the domestic political scene and the relations between political actors, „power-sharing” is an element of the Romanian political system. If the formal Romanian political system is based on the principle of separation of powers, in terms of political dynamics, the operating rule is the „power sharing”.
