EUROPEAN DIVING TRAINING CENTER (EDTC)

Abstract

The paper presents the proposal for a European project to develop a training center for diver, based on common regulations and procedures, in order to certify them for carrying out a wide range of diving activities in line with European standards, being addressed to the civil and military area of the Member States of the European Union. The representatives of the Diving Center in Constanta, who through the Diving Training Course exercise their national authority in the field of diving training and authorization of diving activities, propose that the forthcoming European Diving Training Center (EDTC) be initiated as regional training center, with its core at the Constanta Diving Center, as it already has a dedicated infrastructure and qualified and experienced staff.
