1964/2016 : le Brésil au bord de l’abîme, de nouveau ?
Abstract
Written during the impeachment process of President Dilma Rousseff, this is an interpretative essay (based on historical knowledge) about the recent Brazilian crisis. It provides a comparative analysis between the crises of 1964 and 2016, highlighting issues such as left-right polarization and the mobilization of anti-communist and anti-corruption discourses. It concludes with the author’s speculations about the possible future of this crisis.
