Educational potential of regions of the South of Russia: structural features of localization and modern development imperatives

Abstract

In recent years, structural transformations in the socio-economic sphere of the country have led to a disorientation of the educational system and the real sector of the economy. As a result, the competencies formed by the educational system are not fully focused on the real and future needs of the real sector of the economy. The purpose of the article is to study the features of the formation and development of the educational potential of the south of Russia. A comparative assessment of the educational potential of the regions of the Southern Federal District was carried out, a study was made of the factors of formation of the educational potential of the regions of southern Russia, and mechanisms for its activation in the context of the development of regional competencies based on the network interaction of key participants were proposed.
