The author of the article claims that the monograph is a complex historical work that makes a significant contribution not only to the study of Buddhism in Mongolia but also to fundamental Buddhist, Tibetan and Mongolian studies. The work “Buddhism in Mongolia: History, Clergy, Monasteries” is a serious academic publication devoted to the study of important historical, source study and cultural problems: a coherent description of the long history of Mongolian Buddhism with a detailed examination of biographies and activities of prominent Buddhist personalities.
