MEANINGS OF WORK: ANALYSIS OF ACADEMIC PRODUCTION IN THE FIELD OF ADMINISTRATION AND PROPOSAL OF RESEARCH AGENDA

Abstract

The theme “meanings of work” has gained ground space in research, covering different contexts, groups of workers, and associated themes. In this sense, this research aimed to analyze the academic production on the subject based on articles published in ANPAD events. For that, bibliometric analysis was used as a research method. The results indicate that most of the articles were published in ANPAD, involving very different research contexts, since forty-eight researchers are authors/co-authors of the publications. As for the number of authors, two institutions stood out: UFMG and IMED. The co-authorship network of articles indicates a greater density of relationships between authors from the same institution. Most of the research was empirical, qualitative approach, with interviews or content analysis. It is concluded that despite the growth in quantity, some studies do not present theoretical clarity on the subject. Based on the results, a research agenda was proposed.
