The aim of the paper is to reveal the levels of realization and interaction of the aesthetic tendencies of the music culture of the transition stage — the baroque and pre-classical systems in the Sonata for аrmandoninо and bassо continuo by G. B. Sammartini. Research methodology. The author used the system and comparative approaches, as well as a problem analysis to identify the features of morphogenesis, the genre basis of thematic issue and the compositional approach to the realization of the expressive resource of the solo instrument. Results. Sonata for Armandoninо and basso continuo by G.B. Sammartini fixes the transition characteristic features of the pre-classical stage. In the compositional solution of the work the process of forming the semantic function of parts of the syntactic and cyclic form is recorded and the characteristic of this stage is the harmonic and architectonic integrity of the cycle. The three-part structures coordinate both the whole cycle and each part separately. The features of Baroque thinking are embodied both in the work of music and rhetorical figures, and in the textual distinguishing features of the themes, referring to the genre of trio-sonatas. Novelty. An attempt is made for the first time to identify the main levels of realization of artistic ideals of the late Baroque in the given sonata. The practical significance. The key results of this research can be used in the lessons of performing skills, as well as in the series of lectures “Music Culture of Foreign Countries”.
