EVALUATION OF THE INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE SOUTHERN FEDERAL DISTRICT OF RUSSIA BY THE METHOD OF I.A.BLANK

Abstract

Given the importance of investments in the economy and development of a country and a specific region, it seems to be a particularly important aspect to assess the investment attractiveness of territories as a criterion for choosing a region as an investment object. At present, despite the numerous works devoted to the development of a methodology for assessing the investment attractiveness of regions, there is no unequivocal opinion on this issue. In this paper, we consider the methodology for assessing the investment attractiveness of the Southern Federal District (over ten years), and reveal the significant advantages and disadvantages of this method. In order to understand in which direction to develop the economy of the region, it is important to accurately determine its current state, in particular, from the point of view of investment attractiveness. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the purpose of valuation and investment, which will determine the list of evaluation criteria that describe this object as much as possible. There are a number of methods for determining the investment attractiveness of regions and industries, developed both in Russia and abroad. This article applies the method of I.A. The form, Honored Scientist, Doctor of Economics, Professor, including the author's approach to the distribution of the significance of elements in a comprehensive assessment of the investment attractiveness of the Southern Federal District (SFD). Among the federal districts of Russia, the Southern Federal District ranks fourth in terms of population and seventh in area.
