Transition to democracy and education in Spain: biography of a betrayal

Along this paper we try to analyse some keys to understand the changes happened in educational framework during the Spanish transition to demo- cracy. Across these pages we tried to show that the cultural issues in the previous years to democracy were marked of outstanding pedagogical experiences. Those ideas were not take into account at the educational models of later years. With the arrival of the democracy there are great the expectations that are crea- ted concerning the education. Nevertheless, mostly of pedagogic models of change development became into a political rhetoric that forgets the nuclear issue on the con- tents. Key words: Education, Democracy, Policy-makers.
