A monument for the History

Abstract

Behind a work sculptural, many times they hide anonymous histories. José García Muñoz's testimony constitutes a novel approach to the underlying history of the Park monument Frank País in the hill of Punta Gorda, to the entrance of the Santiago´s bay. From their experiences like the model that he posed for the execution of this work for the sculptor Luis Mariano Frómeta, the interviewee shows the details on this artistic project that —thanks to the initiative of Vilma Espín Guillois— it perpetuated for the new generations of Cuban the leader's secret image by the middle of the decade of 1980.
