Understanding the construction of identity is a relational process, the approach to the «Other» -in this case the African- is a form of knowledge not only of the other identities but, above all, construction of identity. Africa, together with indigenous communities, has had little formal education presence in Argentina. Nor was coupled with the process of building what was called «Argentine identity». Consequently, to new situations brought about by globalization, the following article will discuss the presence of African societies in the current Social Science and History Curriculum Designs of the secondary level of Buenos Aires province.
