Background. This is due to the fact that studies of biography and psychobiography allow us to reveal the features and patterns of the life path, in practice to provide psychological assistance to a person in search of himself, his life path, in optimal self-realization. This is especially true in today's rapidly changing world, when a person has to change his place of residence, profession, habits during his life, and adapt to changing life circumstances. Purpose. The aim is to identify differences and peculiarities of the relationship between indicators of psychobiographic characteristics and life orientations among students of Russian and Tatar nationalities. Materials and methods. Causometry, evaluation of five-year intervals, test of resilience, test of life orientations. The sample of the study was made up of students of Russian and Tatar nationalities studying at Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University. The samples are balanced by sexual dimorphism and representation from urban and rural areas. Results. Differences in psychobiographic characteristics between students of Russian and Tatar nationalities have been revealed. Students of Russian nationality are going to live less, feel older than their chronological age. Students of Tatar nationality see difficulties in life planning, they have more motivating factors for life than students of Russian nationality. There were no differences in life orientations and resilience. Students of Russian nationality have a greater integration of psychobiographic characteristics with life orientations than students of Tatar nationality. The results of the correlation analysis confirm the validity of measuring the subjective productivity of life by the criterion of "degree of saturation with significant events" and the value concept of life events and life scenarios.
