MORPHOLOGICAL AND SEMANTIC FEATURES OF THE GERMAN EMOTIVE VERBS DERIVATIVES OF IN THE OLD, MIDDLE AND NEW HIGH GERMAN PERIODS

Abstract

The article attempts to describe the prefixes involved in the process of derivation of emotive verbs in Old, Middle and New High German periods, to describe the functions of prefixes and to establish specific relationships between verbal prefixes and the semantics of emotive verbs derivatives in different periods of the German language development.
