INCORPORAÇÃO DO LODO DAS ESTAÇÕES DE TRATAMENTO DE ÁGUA E AGREGADO RECICLADO DE RESÍDUO DA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL EM ELEMENTOS DE ALVENARIA - TIJOLOS ESTABILIZADOS COM CIMENTO
Abstract
Garbage and sludge, from treatment water Brazilian plant station are, frequently, disposed and launched directly in the water bodies, causing a negative impact in the environment. Also, residues from the civil construction which are generated in great amount and are usually thrown away in the last place to put them. However, these can be reused as raw materials in the proper industry of civil construction. The present work is being developed with the objective of evaluating the viability of the use of the sludge from the decanters of the treatment water plant stations 3 and 4 ofthe Campinas city SP, Brazil, along with the aggregated recycled residue from the civil construction of this city,to manufacture stabilized bricks with cement. It was tried to incorporate a maximum amount of the sludge so that the amount of cement will be minimized. In such a way, the ratio of mass cement: aggregated small recycled debris and sludge had been investigated mass ratios cement: aggregated small recycled debris(aggregate): sludge in 5:85:10, 5:80:15, 5:75:20, 5:50:25, 10:80:10, 10:75:15, 10:70:20 and 10:65:25. For each one of these ratios, the main component of evaluation, varied according to the texture of humidity of the sludge: 0, 50, 70 74% and 75 80%.The bricks had been manufactured with a manual pressing machine, and a type of ground-cement, and it has to have an excellent predetermined humidity through a testing PROCTOR. The results had shown that the humidity of the sludge influenced significantly in the quality of the bricks, being possible their manufacture only with a texture of humidity 50%(humidity) below. None other brick produced in the studied conditions as in the present work, has taken into account the requirements of the Brazilian norms of quality - water dimensions, absorption and compressive strength.
