Perfis composicionais como base metodológica para a modelagem do Prelúdio n.2 de Santoro

Abstract

In this article, we performed the modeling of “Prelude n.2”, by Claudio Santoro, with the purpose of determining a hypothetical compositional system with the potential to generate a new work, related only at a deep level with the original work. During the analytical phase, five completely different compositional profiles were proposed and, starting from these profiles, we arrive at the compositional systems S2 and S3. These systems allowed us to plan and compose two movements of a new work for string quartet, whose aesthetic characteristics are drastically different from the characteristics of the original work, although both works have their structures isomorphically related within the scope of certain musical parameters.
