Pulmonary sequestration, accounting for 0.15%–6.4% of congenital abnormalities, is a dysplastic lung tissue that receives an abnormal systemic arterial supply and has an abnormal tracheobronchial connection. There are two types, namely, extralobar and intralobar. The intralobar sequestration, a dysplastic lung tissue, is characterized by the absence of its own visceral pleura and has its arterial supply from the anomalous systemic artery and venous drainage into the pulmonary vein. These three cases highlight the various presentations and treatment modalities available.
