In order to solve the problem of measurement distortion of resistive current caused by space interference in the live test of MOA (metal oxide arresters), and improve the measurement accuracy of resistive current for MOA, the law of spatial interference for MOA in the production site is analyzed and summarized, and different compensation strategies are proposed for two different spatial interference models of MOA. The parameter estimation method based on K-nearest neighbor (KNN) is adopted to reduce the influence of humidity change on spatial interference compensation strategy. Circuit simulation based on Simulink shows that this method can effectively improve the calculation accuracy of resistive circuits of MOA. Finally, through further field measurement results and comparison with power outage test data, it is shown that the "automatic edge compensation" algorithm used by existing instruments is not applicable in the case of spatial imbalance interference. At the same time, it is proved that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the calculation accuracy of resistive current for MOA.
