Preventive maintenance model analysis on wind-turbine gearbox under stochastic disturbance
Abstract
In recent, with the rapid scientific and technical developments, condition-based maintenance(CBM) has already been broadly applied in modern large-scale wind plants increasingly and reported that tremendous achievements are gained. However, in the real world, many large modern wind plants still stick with the time-based maintenance(TBM) mechanism, called a planned repairing. CBM only acts as auxiliary maintenance means although it is considered forceful. To achieve this, this paper firstly analysis the general operating characteristics of TBM and CBM, and then establishes a stochastic differential equation(SDE) model to investigate their similarities and differences. The research shows that under the TBM, the system has good long-term and global behavior, but there are over-maintenance and under-maintenance problems. Under the action of CBM, the system has significant short-term and local characteristics. The combination of the two strategies is an ideal and necessary mode. Finally, applying examples verify the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed method, which quite corresponds to current maintenance modes in many enterprises.
