The autonomic nervous system plays a key role in the processes of adaptation to changes in the environment. Besides, the sympathetic nervous system is potent to mobilize the resources of organism against to stress factors, while the parasympathetic part carries out the current regulation of physiological functions. The experiment was conducted with use the sows of a large white breed with different tone of the autonomic nervous system. Blood samples were tested for measuring the content of total protein, albumins, globulins and their fractions. The reciprocal interaction of the autonomic nervous system tone with the content of total protein, the indicator of the protein coefficient and the share of albumins and globulins in the blood of sows was established (F= 12.3–14.5 > FU=3.26; P < 0.001). The predominance of the sympathetic tone of the autonomic nervous system in sows has a significant effect on the content of total protein in the blood plasma one day and five days after farrowing (ħ²ᵪ=0.47–0.71; P < 0.05–0.001), while the predominance of the parasympathetic nervous system affects the content of total protein in the blood only five days after farrowing (ħ²ᵪ=0.59; P < 0.01). A reliable influence of the tone of the autonomic nervous system on the share of albumins, globulins and their ratio ten and one days before farrowing in vagotonic sows was established (ħ²ᵪ=0.49–0.59; P < 0.05). The influence of the tone of the autonomic nervous system in vagotonic sows on the share of α-globulins ten days before and one day before farrowing (г²ᵪ=0.58–0.73; Р < 0.01), β-globulins – one day before farrowing (г²ᵪ =0.42; Р < 0.05) and γ-globulins - ten days after farrowing (г²ᵪ=0.40; Р < 0.05). In sympathicotonic sows, the influence of the tone of the autonomic nervous system on the fractions of α-β- and γ-globulins was revealed one day before farrowing (ħ²ᵪ=0.45–0.47; P < 0.05). Ten days before farrowing, the proportion of albumins in vagotonic sows is higher (P < 0.05), and globulins, in particular α-globulins, are lower (P < 0.05-0.001) than in normotonic sows. The content of total protein in the blood of vagotonic and sympathicotonic sows five days after farrowing by 7.9–9.3% (Р < 0.05–0.01), and the content of γ-globulins in the blood of vagotonic sows by 19 .8% (Р < 0.05) less than that in normotonic pigs. The degree and nature of the influence of the tone of the autonomic nervous system of sows on the content of total protein and its fractions in their blood was established.
