In this article, we will discuss the relationship between the formation of Brazilian society, the racial issue and the promotion of public policies. We problematize the theme with reference to the process of exploitation and oppression experienced by the black population in capitalist society, within the context of Imperialism and the crisis of capital. We discussed reparations policies as democratic demands and their importance in combating racism. We present the affirmative action policies driven by the action of the black movement materialized in the Brazilian State through the policies of quotas and Law 10.639 / 03, detecting the limits of this action and the democratic demands. Finally, we problematize the challenges of the Brazilian proletariat, in its diversity, electing elements of a possible transitional reparations program that contemplates the demands of race and class.
