Em busca das origens: as interpretações da Revolução de Maio nas narrativas dos rio-platenses

Abstract

The article discusses how Revolution of May was built as origin myth in the narratives of the Rio de la Plata. Highlights the career of Florencio Varela literate and historical sources that he has chosen to build the history of the Plata region. Especially, we investigate whether such representations of the past met the present demands and desires for the future.
