Que história é essa? Que história não é essa? - a memória selecionada dos patrimônios históricos no Acre
Abstract
In the following article, an analysis was carried out regarding the selected memories and the forgetfulness that exist in the memory spaces of the capital of Acre, Rio Branco, with the aim of identifying how these spaces collaborate with narratives that reinforce the official history, in addition to questioning which stories they tell, as well as which stories they leave out and omit. The discussion presents an analysis of three main memory spaces in the state, in the capital, the Rio Branco Palace, the palace museum, the Revolution Square and the Rubber Museum, based on records made during visits to the sites and other works that dialogue with the theme. With the purpose of considering what these spaces, as museums and monuments, expose and leave out of their narratives. For the theoretical basis of the research, Michel Foucault (1999, 2008, 2013), Françoise Choay (1992) and Pierre Nora (1993) were used to discuss memory and the concept of “document-monument”, addressing the relationships between documents monuments and memory spaces, and their similarities, which can be seen in thinking about the selected memories that constitute them.
